One More...

God Bless Baby Ireland

Here we are, all dressed up to see Ireland McDermott baptized. The night before, we joined Phil's brother Kevin, and Kelly and Ireland for a little "birthday bash" for Kevin and Kelly. We had a great time, and got to eat, drink and be merry with the Morleys and McDermotts. On Sunday, we got up early so we could get to church on time (per Kelly's request!) and we made it! Sadie loved watching the whole thing and Ireland didn't bat an eye when they poured the water over her thick, black hair. We went to brunch afterwards, and then back to Ireland's house for lots of cake and ice cream.

Sadie's Play Date

Here's Sadie and her friend, Morgan, having a play date! When Morgan's mom dropped her off, Sadie screamed with joy and the two immediately put on the princess dresses and started to play. The play kitchen was also a hot spot... and poor Finn, who was visiting for a short time, just couldn't keep up! By the end of the day, though, the girls were almost crashed on the couch watching The Little Mermaid, and I knew it was time for the fun to end. Morgan left with her mom and Sadie immediately fell asleep! They had a super time, though, and we enjoyed having a baby around, as well! We'll take her any time Uncle and Auntie!

Sadie's Night at the Theater!

Best Grandma in the World bought Sadie, Mommy, Auntie Cassie and herself tickets to High School Musical On Tour at the State Theater on Wednesday night. It was the most precious thing I've ever seen. I bawled every time I looked at her amazed, excited, and full-of-wonder little smiling face. (I'm sure people thought I was out of my mind, crying at High School Musical!) As we drove into Downtown Minneapolis Sadie announced, "I feel scared in my butt!" We think it meant she was nervous or excited and had butterflies! When we got to the red carpet, she was a little nervous, but once we were seated inside, she was ready for the curtain to open! We all had a great girls'-night-out, and the musical was wonderful. After the play, the kids were able to ask the actors questions, too! (Auntie Cassie was really thinking she had missed her calling!) Although she was tired in the morning, she popped out of bed, and put on her souvenir necklace and grabbed her HSM On Tour postcard to share with all her friends at school.

Thanks, Easter Bunny!

Happy Easter to all! Luckily, the Easter Bunny knew that Sadie was spending the night in Waseca, and brought her basket there. He hid it behind Grandpa's guitar! Inside it, Sadie found a Hannah Montana CD, lots of candy, and a leotard! After being the best girl EVER in church,we took a long drive to Great Grandma and Grandpa's in South Dakota. Auntie Hannah was home from D.C., too! There, we ate a fantastic meal, and Sadie got to play with the rest of her cousins, as well as find some more Easter Eggs that Miranda had hidden all over the yard. We played guessing games the whole way home, and finally, Sadie got pooped out and went to sleep with Mama.
