When we arrived at Grandma B's home in Trimont (a 2-hour drive from our house) my mom was in hysterics. She had realized at St. James (1 1/2 hours from our house) that she had forgotten the calendars which she had spent weeks creating and which also happened to be the only Christmas present anyone was receiving at the celebration. (Well, almost the only gift.) When she finally got over herself and had a few glasses of wine, we ate the greatest food ever (Grandma B's mashed potatoes are the best in the whole, wide world) and we kids played and played and opened our presents. We also had a sing-along. While cousin Paul (not to be confused with the cousin Paul in an upcoming blog) played the guitar, we sang "Up on the Rooftop," "Silent Night," and "Frosty the Snowman!" We also received a visit from our friends, Paige and Natalie, from San Francisco, and they brought me a sleeping bag with Troy Bolton's face and body plastered all along the front. Love it! I was pooped when we left this Christmas, but my partying days were not even close to ending. Keep checking the blog and you'll find out what else I did over vacation!
